What to expect and what not to expect with this Ketchikan shore excursion

Your Ketchikan Ebike & HIke tour begins with transport from downtown near the cruise ship docks to the north side of town near Clover Pass. Your local and professional guides go over safety and show you the ropes before you gear up and practice on the ebikes. Then, it's time to head out on the "Road to Nowhere", which takes you to the end of the island's paved road. Here, you'll set out on the maintained trail through the rainforest for a stunning hike alongside a stream and waterfall. For guests traveling here in late August-September, enjoy a fascinating sight of salmon jumping in the stream during the annual salmon run.

You've got questions, we've got answers
Q:How long is this excursion, and is transportation included?
The total duration of this activity is 4 hours with about 2.5 hours of hiking and biking. The meeting location will be directly across the street from cruise ship berth 3. We can arrange pickup at hotels north of Ketchikan with advance notice. Of course, you'll receive detailed meeting instructions and planning information in a confirmation email upon booking.
Q:What are the requirements?

If this is not the case we ask that you please take a ride or two before vacation. Our bikes have step-through frames that make it easy to get on and off. Q:What if it rains? Do the trips get canceled?
Ketchikan is in the heart of a temperate rainforest, and we would never do anything if we stopped for the rain. Please do not let the possibility of rain deter you from booking. Southeast Alaska is at its most beautiful on misty rainy days. You'll receive quality rain pants and jacket, and gloves to keep everyone as dry as possible. And don't forget that the wildlife doesn't care about the rain!
Q:What if our ship is delayed or doesn't make it into port? Refund?
It's very rare that a ship is delayed into port, but in those cases, we will try our best to work with you to reschedule the tour to a later time. If that is not a possibility or your ship doesn't make it into port, we will of course refund the full cost of the tour.
